Five Towns College Women's Basketball Dominates Villa Maria College for Key Conference Win
Dix Hills, NY – January 11, 2026 – The Five Towns College women's basketball team secured a decisive 93-62 North American Conference for Intercollegiate Athletics conference victory over Villa Maria College on Saturday at the campus gymnasium. The win improves the Lady Sound conference record to 2-3 and overall mark to 4-6.
Five Towns showcased a balanced offensive attack, with standout performances across the roster, but the game's top performer was forward Geormaya Davis, who put together a career-defining effort. Davis exploded for 27 points on 11-of-15 shooting, adding 11 rebounds and 3 assists in 36 minutes of play. Her efficiency and dominance in the paint set the tone early and helped the Lady Brockporters maintain control throughout the game.
"Geormaya was phenomenal today," said Five Towns College head coach. "She attacked the basket, grabbed every rebound in her area, and made her teammates better. Her performance embodies the effort and focus we want every night."
Other notable contributors included Raine Mears, who tallied 19 points and 12 rebounds, and Hazel Whitfield, who added 17 points, 7 rebounds, and a team-high 8 assists. The Lady Brockporters shot an impressive 48.6% from the field and converted 80.8% of free throws, building a lead in every quarter.
Villa Maria College struggled offensively, shooting just 21.7% from the field and 12% from beyond the arc, despite strong individual efforts from Alyssa Saavedra (10 rebounds, 10 points) and Mia Special (15 points, 9-12 from the line).
