Five Towns Women's Basketball overpower Bryant & Stratton–Albany 87-65
The Five Towns College Women’s Basketball team showcased a masterclass in interior play and team effort as they secured an 87-65 victory over Bryant & Stratton–Albany at FTC. In addition, the team celebrated the career of beloved player Sydney Mountain during the after-game Senior Night Celebration.
After trading blows in the early stages of the contest—with the Sound outscoring Bryant & Stratton–Albany 21-15 in the first quarter and 17-16 in the second—Five Towns ignited in the third quarter, scoring an impressive 37 points. The Sound’s third-quarter explosion proved decisive in a game that highlighted their rebounding, inside scoring, and bench production. This surge propelled them to a commanding lead, one they maintained throughout the fourth quarter (12-22) to secure the win by a 22-point margin.

“Tonight, our focus on dominating the paint and capitalizing on turnovers really paid off,” said Coach Jaques. “Our third-quarter surge was the turning point of the game. Even though our perimeter shooting wasn’t our strongest suit, our rebounding and bench production more than made up for it. We’re proud of our effort and the way the team executed our game plan.” He went on to state, “It was a great way to finish off Sydney’s career here at FTC, we just kept feeding her the ball because we wanted her to have a fun night.”
