Men's Soccer Signs Angel Chavez
Dix Hills, N.Y. - The Five Towns College men's soccer team has signed Angel Chavez.
Chavez, a forward from Mineola, NY, attended The Wheatley School where he played four years of varsity soccer. In his varsity career, Chavez totaled 37 goals and 14 assists. He was a member of the Nassau County Championship team his Freshman year.
Chavez has been named as All-County Honorable Mention player (Sophomore), 2x All-County player (Junior & Senior), 2x Offensive Player of the Year (Junior & Senior), and was one of the top leading scorers in the county this year with 12 goals and two assists. Prior to his Senior season, Chavez was named a Newsday Top 100 player, and was recently named as an All-State player for the 2021 season.
"Angel has been one of the top goal scorers on Long Island for the past three years. Angel has a natural ability to score; his ability along with his physical style of play will give a different dynamic to our offense which led the nation in goals per game in 2019." stated head coach Jason Fiscina.
