Dr. Poplarski to Serve as Panelist at the USCAA Virtual National Convention
Dix Hills, NY - Five Towns College Director of Sports Medicine, Dr. Jeff Poplarski will participate as a panelist on the Professional Development-Pandemic Navigation session for the USCAA National Convention, held June 7-9, 2021.
"The USCAA is thrilled to welcome Dr. Poplarski as our expert guest on the COVID-19 professional development panel this year”, stated USCAA Executive Director & CEO Matthew Simms. “This pandemic has presented the USCAA and its member institutions with significant challenges over the past year, and there are new challenges still ahead. It is great to have someone with Dr. Poplarski's experience and expert knowledge to show us the path forward and answer questions that our membership have concerning what to expect as we start athletics back this fall."
Later this month, Dr. Poplarski, who serves as the Wellness Chairman for United States Golf Association (USGA), will be present for the 121st U.S. Open Championship held at Torrey Pines Golf Course in San Diego, California.
The United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) is the home of the small college national championships. The purpose of the USCAA shall be to provide wholesome athletic competition on a national level to small colleges who adhere to the rule and regulations set forth by this association and its Bylaws. The USCAA attempts to offer the opportunity for the student- athlete to develop mind, body and spirit through athletic competition, and the USCAA will do this while promoting integrity, leadership, scholarship and values of life. The USCAA believes in striving to place the pursuit of education as the main priority of its student- athletes.
The association intends to achieve this purpose by providing opportunities for small colleges to compete on an equal level of competition with schools of like size and athletic programs. Our association seeks to conduct national championships, name All-Americans, recognize scholar athletes, and promote USCAA member schools.
